Fallsview Hotel, Ellenville, New York, 1970s. Closed. Fully renovated, now operating as a retreat center under the name Honor’s Haven. Adjacent to the abandoned Nevele resort. Source

Built in 1936, this motel originally opened as the Gables Court and was later renamed the Gables Motel. After over 70 years in business, it closed in 2009 and was put up for sale. By 2013, Victory Outreach purchased the property, removed the neon sign and opened a Christian Treatment Center. In 2021, it sold again for $640k. Located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
A 2023 view of the former Gables Motel shows that it has been boarded up and abandoned.
The former Skywood Manor Inn & Motel of Jefferson, New Hampshire dates back to 1870. It’s currently on the market for $569,000. Recent name changes include Gingerbread Manor and The Stone Creek Inn Lodge.

The Magic Castle Inn, pictured in 2018 and 2023. In 2022, the motel sold and the new owners evicted all the residents with 24 hours notice. It was then repainted and left abandoned for a year until it reopened a few weeks ago under the name Developer Inn. Located in Kissimmee, Florida.

The former Holiday Motor Lodge is up for auction. Bidding starts at 400k on June 26th.
Originally named the Arrowhead Camp and Service Station upon opening in 1938, the motel evolved into the Arrowhead Tourist Court and later became the Arrow Head Motel. It housed travelers for decades before renting its last room in 2008. In 2012, the Columbia, Missouri Historic Preservation Commission named the Arrow Head one of the city’s “Most Notable Historic Properties.” It’s currently still in use and now stores/rents Budget trucks. Springdale, Arkansas’s Holiday Motel still exists as Motel 8 (not to be confused with Super 8, the motel chain). The only current photo I could find of this place is of a heart-shaped tub in the honeymoon suite.
